While written as a children’s book, I ordered this because I am a big fan of the CC Warren’s Holly series for adults and wanted to explore what she did with the characters as children. This book is well written and for those of us who love the grown-up characters, this was a great look into their personalities and relationship as children. Excellent, well-written book!

This was a delightful read about Holly and Jordan as kids. They find a buried treasure box while treasure hunting and headed out to track down the owner of the treasure box and discovering if the legend of the watcher tree is real or not. Jordan learns some valuable lessons about having character and asking for forgiveness as well as being brave.
If you have read the Holly Novels, you’ll enjoy this first installment in the Mysteries, Mischief, and Marshmallows series.
